Celebrate food literacy by connecting good eats and good reads with children and families. Promote a better understand of what and how we eat with the following:
- Author Katherine Pryor will read from her new book, SYLVIA'S SPINACH, published on Food Day, about a picky eater who learns to eat something new when she grows food in the school garden. (The author will also present during Storytime at 11:00 am.)
- Reading of favorite children's food & gardening books.
- Food to try (even for the pickest of eaters!)
