Steven Freeman and Heather Avella, Treasurer and Vice President of the Manchester Food Co-op, will share the values and health benefits of buying local foods and it's impact on our local economy and why it matters to know where your food is coming from and how it improves your health.
This is the second year to celebrate food day whose mission is aligned with the co-op, to educate our children and provide them with the knowledge to grow into a healthy lifestyle diet. Access to local real foods is a first step in guaranteeing this models success.
A healthy diet starts at home by instilling good choices for each meal. From farm to table and from parent to child! A food day initiative will be discussed further to help us all learn how to make better choices in our grocery carts.
This is a lunch you don't want to miss if you are trying to lead a healthier lifestyle!
